First hand experience of the benefits of natural health

When I was growing up, my family regularly used Arnica to treat bumps and bruises, but my first experience of homeopathy in my adult life came when I broke my ankle in the Nineties.  A local health food store recommended the homeopathic remedy Symphytum and the hospital staff and I were amazed how rapidly the bone mended.

A couple of years later I went for my first homeopathic consultation for treatment of a variety of stress-related symptoms.  In the space of three years both my parents had died and my relationship with my partner had collapsed.  At the time I was working in a highly stressful environment as a manager for an American-owned finance company.  Needless to say, my health was seriously compromised.

I was astonished, not just at the rapid disappearance of my physical symptoms, but at how much better I coped with stressful situations and the improvement in my sleep.  I really felt that I was getting back in control of my life rather than it controlling me.

A year or so later I underwent surgery.   Homeopathic remedies were immensely helpful for alleviating the anxiety beforehand and ensuring a rapid physical and emotional recovery afterwards and my homeopath was a huge support to me, enabling me to understand that I had the right to make decisions about my healthcare.

After 15 years in the finance industry, I made the decision to train as a homeopath and completed the 4 year training course at the South Downs School of Homeopathy in Chichester, setting up Sussex Homeopathy in 2006.

In 2008 I commenced training as a N.A.E.T. practitioner with initial training in London and further courses in France and Cambridge. My own N.A.E.T. treatment has been of huge benefit and I can now eat wheat and dairy products without ill-effects.

As well as practising homeopathy I also teach at various colleges and run tutorials for small groups of homeopathy students.  I give regular talks to clubs, groups and schools and have written articles for various publications.

I have lived in Sussex for 25 years and have a home in Ditchling with my husband and two cats.
